Kumihimo
Kumihimo is an ancient Japanese art form that dates back to the 13th century. It was performed only by Samurais, and was lost for a period of time before being rediscovered by Japanese artisans around the 1930s. Kumihimo, or Japanese braiding, is an intricate and beautiful art form that many people across the world have come to love and appreciate. At Oak Grove Studio, we use a round braid composed of eight strands.
Beaded Kumihimo Kits
Oak Grove Studio sells 6 individual beaded Kumihimo kits. Our kits include hand dyed fiber, beads, and instruction on how to execute each type of braid.
Accessories
Our accessories selection is comprised mostly of clasps that can be placed on the ends of necklaces. We also offer bails, which clip over necklaces and allow you to hang things from them.
